"CloudStratex is partnered with Centrepoint, a charity that supports young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in the UK. In February 2021, we were looking at virtual fundraising activities and were put in contact with Ollie Tarrant. Ollie kindly offered to have a call with us to talk us through the different virtual cooking opportunities our staff could get involved in.  

  

After Ollie had presented the multiple options, we decided on a virtual cooking class for 12 people, covering two courses - a starter and a main. Ollie was extremely helpful in putting forward a structure for the class and orchestrated a break for us to showcase the important work Centrepoint do around food. Ollie quickly provided excellent recipes for our staff to cook, and provided alternative ingredients to cater for a variety of dietary requirements. Ollie additionally went above and beyond to recommend wine pairings for the dishes which went down a treat! The event was a huge success, enabling us to raise £280 for Centrepoint.

The hints and tips Ollie provided could easily be applied to future cooking. The food produced was fantastic and tasted restaurant standard despite being cooked at home by novices.
